• Supervise Outdoor Time: Keep a close eye on pets while they’re exploring. A little supervision can prevent snacking on mushrooms or rustling up an unfriendly critter.
• Create a “Pet Zone”: Designate a safe area in your yard free of toxic plants and sharp tools where your pet can play while you work. 
• Rake and Clear Regularly: Even something as innocent-looking as a leaf pile may be hiding mold, sharp sticks, or wildlife that doesn’t appreciate being disturbed. Rake often and clear away piles promptly, or check them carefully before letting your dog dive in.

• Store Tools and Chemicals Safely: Keep fertilizers, mulches, and sharp tools out of reach. Even natural or “eco-friendly” products can irritate paws or cause illness if ingested.
• Wipe Paws After Yard Time: A quick paw wipe helps remove dirt, mold spores, or chemical residue, which is especially important after yard treatments or damp weather.
